North Topsail Beach, lies on the northern end of Topsail Island in Onslow County. Including North Topsail Beach, there are two other beach communities that make up Topsail Island: Topsail Beach and Surf City. Covering just over 10 square miles of the 26 mile long island, North Topsail Beach boasts an abundance of wildlife with blue herons, pelicans, egrets, and loggerhead sea turtles among the common sightings. Before War World II, the island was only accessible by boat. Today, there are two main bridges that connect the island to the mainland, one of which is a high rise bridge located at the northern tip, connecting Sneads Ferry to North Topsail Beach. Because the island is not as commercial as some of the other beaches in North Carolina, you can take pleasure in sunbathing, shelling, kite flying, strolling and beach combing along the beautiful, uncrowded white sandy beach. There is a lot of real estate to choose from on North Topsail Beach. Whether you’re interested in spectacular oceanfront, Intracoastal, or mainland homes, cottages and condos, new construction, or preexisting homes, golf or boating communities, you will surely find exactly what you’re looking for.
